"A large majority of families moving to Compass Pointe are from northern states and either retired or near retirement and are weary of the long winters there. The coastal NC weather is perfect for our mentality - still experiencing the 4 seasons but not at the length of the extremes. The cost of homes and the amenities along with the friendliness of the residents are "icing on the cake"."

" Compass Pointe os a friendly, beautiful community. Its proximity to the city of Wilmington provides residents with theatre, museums, river walk, fabulous restaurants all within a 10 minute drive. Compass Pointe is a lovely pleasant place to reside. Being a gated community, it gives residents the feeling that they are safe, secure and residing in a tropical resort. The amenities are top notch and you get a lot for your HOA dues! The developers are reliable and resourceful. Everything that has been promised is coming to fruition. Most importantly is that the people who reside in CP are kind, friendly and thoughtful people. The residents make kit a fun place to live. There is something for everyone to do. ANd yet, they are serious about giving back to society. So many of our residents volunteer in local schools, county offices, Manna Ministries, etc. We feel blessed to live here."
