Palm trees, lakes with fountains and resort-style amenities have created a fun tropical atmosphere at Compass Pointe, a 2,200 acre neighborhood located just 15 minutes downtown Wilmington, a city ranked as one of the top places to live in North Carolina. Compass Pointe is a certified Audubon International Gold Signature Community, protecting 70 acres as five wildlife and fauna sanctuaries. After you pass through the gated entrance, lushly landscaped roundabouts greet you at the intersections separating the Compass Pointe neighborhoods. As Real Estate Scorecard's 2015 Happiest Community of the Year, it's clearly one of the most fun coastal retirement communities to live in.

"Logan use to be a developer and had a huge falling out with Mr. Harrelson and Exum over money. They still try to keep the peace but once you move you really see the "true" quality of the community and staff. The building standards are very low, I am already having issues with my "custom" build home that I will have to have fixed within 2 years of living year. I wish the standards were hiring and I had build a more quality home so I wouldn't have to worry about it during my retired years. "
