Palm trees, lakes with fountains and resort-style amenities have created a fun tropical atmosphere at Compass Pointe, a 2,200 acre neighborhood located just 15 minutes downtown Wilmington, a city ranked as one of the top places to live in North Carolina. Compass Pointe is a certified Audubon International Gold Signature Community, protecting 70 acres as five wildlife and fauna sanctuaries. After you pass through the gated entrance, lushly landscaped roundabouts greet you at the intersections separating the Compass Pointe neighborhoods. As Real Estate Scorecard's 2015 Happiest Community of the Year, it's clearly one of the most fun coastal retirement communities to live in.

Compass Pointe Reviews

4.9 / 5 (560 reviews)
"We have been in the community for over five years, one of the first to build and move it. We have seen the community grow and truly appreciate the developer's vision and decisions in expanding the community. Many of new communities have failed because the developer spends too much on amenities up front, without enough reserves to continue through soft times. Our developer has planned for the future. Additionally, the care taken in the community as far as common area landscaping is special. The community really shows off during each season! And the owners take pride in the community as well; insuring that their homes are well taken care of. We love Compass Pointe, we love our Logan home!"

"People make a community. We have been blessed with beautiful scenery homes (vast assortment) not cookie cutter, great amenities (state of the art) with more to come, and the friendliest, happiest melting pot of northerners glad to be here and away from the cold and grind of their other life. Plenty to do, clubs and socials, wonderful neighbors throughout the community (no us and them) close to the arts and theatrical events, historical and beach scene near by. An environment where people care about one another and strive to make Compass Pointe a vacation way of living."
