Porters Neck Country Club Reviews

4.6 / 5 (78 reviews)
"Direct proximity to some of the most beautiful, preserved beaches and barrier islands in the country. We bought our lot in 1992, built on it in 2006 for retirement -- and have found the developers / leadership a constant . . . and always looking for ways to improve. For example, new Sports Center a couple of years ago."

"Residents are warm and welcoming to newcomers. It's easy to get into regular tennis, golf, bridge games, etc. There are enough unmarried women to ensure a single woman always has someone to go places and do things with."

"We love that Porters Neck is established and attracts so many diverse folks from all over the country. As relative newbies (we've been here two years) we were warmly welcomed and found it easy to meet new friends. The amenities are terrific and we continue to pinch ourselves over the fact that we have such easy access to golf, fitness and social activities. We are still exploring all that Wilmington has to offer outside our community and are happy with the diversity of entertainment and cultural options. We could not be happier in finding such a wonderful community to retire to. "

"Porters Neck Plantation is a community made up of retirees from colder climates, young families transferred to the area and people relocated to be near their families. Everyone always has a wave and a smile as you walk or drive by. There is a high percentage of those interested in the Community well-being as well as the local politics. It is an all around friendly and beautifully maintained place to live. "
