In 2012, the Sports Center went through a full renovation and expansion adding new cross trainers, elliptical machines, treadmills and free weights and updated wellness amenities. "We have lived in Porters Neck for the last 10 years and have found it the perfect place to live. Besides the mild SE North Carolina weather, the community is well planned with well cared for homes, a great private country club with outstanding amenities and friendly neighbors. Of course it is close to Wilmington and is located off the main roads in a growing section of New Hanover county. Everything you need is only a mile or two away. We love it. "
