The Grand Lanai is the neighborhood's main amenity, a 10,000 square foot clubhouse with a resort-style swimming pool and covered entertainment area overlooking their accent lakes. "The residents! Tremendous support group - very caring residents active in veterans and other causes. Lots of things to do...community offers something for everybody. Not too big in terms of number of residents living in a well laid out community but big enough to have that proverbial "small town" feeling. Tremendous amenities with more planned with an HOA fee structure that is not only very reasonable but also very competitive compared to similar communities."

"Compass Pointe is the Happiest Community because its Developer, Mr. Bobby Harrelson, has fully implemented a resort community with a wide variety of First Class Amenities, including an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness center, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, a lazy river, plus a man-made-lake! He also provided a Grand Lanai for all sorts of social events, a premier 18-hole golf course, and an on-property restaurant. Through management's marketing efforts, Compass Pointe has attracted residents from throughout the country who at this point in life are ready to have fun and enjoy each other's company. Compass Pointe has countless clubs for such things as culinary arts, gardening, veteran's affairs, and book studies, as well as a wide variety of sporting activities. It is especially noteworthy that the residents always wave to each other when walking or driving through the community. The Latitudes Restaurant features specialty evenings such as Karaoke Nights and Trivia Nights, as well as offering many themed dining specials throughout each week. In sum, many of our residents have referred to Compass Pointe as a Disneyland for seniors since more than 90 percent of our residents are retired. Since very few residents are from this part of the country, everyone has at one time or another been a newcomer to the region. Therefore, we go to great lengths to make the transitions for every new neighbor go as smoothly as possible. Compass Pointe is a truly neighborly community where its residents celebrate each other''s accomplishments and are also exceedingly helpful to those who are going through one of life's challenges. As a retired Air Force officer, I have travelled around the world and I have never experienced such a loving, happy, and joyful community as Compass Pointe!!! Every morning when each of us wakes up, we feel that we are living in Paradise!!! "
