Bordering the west side of the Indian River Lagoon and on the mainland, the Grand Harbor Golf and Beach Club’s name provides a quick glimpse into the fun-filled lifestyle offered in one of the best Florida beach towns. Complete with its own private beach club on the ocean, the Vero Beach country club amenities are extensive and include two championship golf courses, a tennis center with 10 Har-Tru courts, a grandiose 32,000 square foot golf clubhouse, deepwater marina with 144 boat slips, and staffed modern fitness center. Both of the clubhouses have delicious restaurants. The beach club on the barrier island offers relaxing indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Private poolside cabanas peek over an Olympic-sized swimming pool and the ocean, just south of the Sebastian Inlet and Vero Beach beaches. The golf clubhouse on the mainland offers casual and formal dining.

Scenic lakes accent the golf course with streaming fountains spraying up into the air; many neighborhoods also have fountains in the middle of their neighborhood cul-de-sacs. The River Course designed by Joe Lee is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Course. The second course, named The Harbor Course, was designed by Pete Dye. Grand Harbor offers equity memberships; however, residents are not required to become club members. During the summer months, the club has reciprocal arrangements with 16 local Indian River golf courses. Equity memberships range from $3,274 to $10,731 per year plus the initial equity contribution which is partially refundable. Social club memberships permit full use of the beach club with limited golf and tennis privileges 6 times a year.

Tree lined streets and colorful flower beds enhance the curb appeal.

Neighborhoods at Grand Harbor offer a variety of home choices. Harbor Pointe, Harbor Island, and Harbor Village have condominium buildings with harbor views of the marina. St. Andrews Island, Victoria Island, and Harmony Island have single family homes or townhomes overlooking the golf course, community lakes, or the Indian River. In addition to the beach clubhouse’s swimming pool on the Atlantic Ocean south of the Sebastian Inlet, many of the neighborhoods have community swimming pools. Connected to Grand Harbor is their sister community, Oak Harbor, geared to senior adults over age 55. Vero Beach is known as one of the best Florida beach towns on the east coast to retire

Homes are priced from the mid $200K's to over $1 million. Condominiums can be found starting in the mid $100K's, townhomes from the $200K's, single family homes from the high $200K's and estate homes begin just under $1 million. Grand Harbor permits short term rentals which is a great way for retirees to try out the Vero Beach country club lifestyle.
