The annual Alan Fleming Championship is hosted at Seabrook Island, named the South Carolina & Southern Tournament of the Year. There are two golf courses at Seabrook Island; The Crooked Oaks Course designed by Robert Trent and The Ocean Winds Course designed by Willard Byrd. The Ocean Winds Course greens were renovated in 2004 upgrading to Champion Ultra Dwarf Bermuda Grass.  Both golf courses are Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary courses.

The island community has two clubhouses plus the wellness amenity area named The Lake House. The new 36,000 square foot golf clubhouse has panoramic views of the ocean and golf course. The Beach Club has two oceanfront swimming pools, outside dining and bar, gift shop and a recreation room and The Lake House, where you will find a fantastic fitness center, a lakefront outdoor swimming pool, an indoor swimming pool, a gorgeous library, and more. The equestrian center has 16 club horses, 42 stalls, short-term boarding and everything you would expect of a modern equestrian facility. You'll find when owning a second home, the social clubs are Seabrook Island are very active, more than 25 of them. The Natural History Group is the largest with 400 members and enjoy life at its fullest living in Charleston. When you pass through the security gates, you feel a sense of security and exclusivity. You'll find Seabrook Island is popular for second and vacation homes. Although Baby Boomers are discovering the secret of the island for a primary residence. Families who own a boat, dockage is available at the Bohicket Marina Village, walking distance from the entrance gate. Freshfield Village in the same area is a nostalgia town square, home to a farmer's market, restaurants, post office, drycleaner, pharmacy and more shops are also just outside the gates of the island. Downtown Charleston is about 25 miles away where you will find great medical care, seafood restaurants, boutiques and festivals year round.
