Last year, we visited 3RD HOME’s corporate office in Nashville, to learn more about this luxury home exchange club. Unlike timeshares, second homes accepted into the 3RD HOME program are special, valued from $500k to over $4 million. 3RD HOME is actively involved in the screening process and is today’s trusted match maker for vacation home owners.

People with luxury second homes can take advantage of this growing private reciprocal home swap club and add value to their vacation home. 3RD HOME allows members to deposit weeks at their home in exchange for keys to travel to other members’ second homes for a transaction fee of only $495.

3RD HOME makes this ever growing collection of properties around the world extremely easy to reserve, watch and request time. Not only is 3RD HOME expanding and becoming more well known it is extremely user friendly when searching, reserving and communicating with 3RD HOME exchange coordinators.

The private reciprocal club is now in its third year and bigger than ever. 3RD HOME is growing in not only size with over 1,000 members and properties but in regards to awareness and popularity as well. Members now have the luxury of choosing from over 1,700 properties all over the world with destinations in 62 countries. The newest destinations include Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, the Philippines, Japan, Jamaica, and St. Maarten.

One new feature on their website is the “property search” interactive map, which allows members to customize their property search to find exactly what they are looking for. When a member visits the “Explore Properties” page under the “Search” tab, it brings them to a page with a world map. The map allows users to select a region of the world they would like to travel to in order to narrow the search results. Selecting a time of year the member wants to travel can also narrow the results or an activity the member wants the location to include. For example, a member can select the “ski” icon, then the USA region and the Rocky Mountains to get all properties that meet the search criteria.

For members to receive specials, they sign up to be on the “Daily Alerts” list. In this case they would receive an email Monday through Friday with a special offer for a specific property. For example, there could be a five key vacation home swap that a member could book for three keys.
