The Reserve at Lake Keowee Welcomes BMW Charity Pro-Am

It’s back! Another year of “star-studded” golfing at the Lake Keowee gated community is here. Last year, one of the best golf courses in South Carolina brought crowds of people to the Annual BMW Charity Pro-Am and generated over $700K in proceeds to help local charities. Celebrities, residents and visitors are gathered again and this year it is expected to be even better!
From May 12-17th, the celebrities are back to celebrate with one of the best Western South Carolina master-planned communities in 2014. The Synnex Corporation is presenting this year’s BMW Charity Pro-Am event and the fun begins this week. Beginning May 12th until May 14th, avid golfers (celebrities included) will start with practice rounds to improve their swing and sharpen their focus for the big tournament. Gates open at the crack of dawn at 7:00 a.m. and tee time begins at 8:00 a.m. for early birds who are seeking a competitive edge this year.
On May 15th, the fun and competition heats up as participants of the BMW Charity Pro-Am gear up for the grass. Members and participants have access to all of the Lake Keowee Clubhouses, 18-hole championship golf course and community grounds during this event. On Saturday, May 17th, the community is promoting their Pink on the Links Campaign. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness. The Reserve at Lake Keowee, one of the best golf courses in South Carolina, is the place to be this May and the fun does not stop here.
Residents living in this Lake Keowee gated community know how much fun this annual event really is. In past years, celebrities like Kurt Russell, Craig T. Nelson and Gary Valentine graced the golf course with their presence. Don Rooney from the country band, Rascal Flatts, and Jeffrey Donovan from Burn Notice were also in attendance. This year, even more celebrities and well-known names are traveling to these Western South Carolina master-planned communities to take a break from their busy lives and enjoy some R&R.
While some people may visit to hang out with the stars, others will come to admire the outdoor landscapes that can only been seen in the movies! The Reserve at Lake Keowee is the perfect place for retirees interested in active lifestyles with amazing natural terrain. This 3,900 acre Lake Keowee gated community is complete with 300 miles of lake shoreline, 5 ½ miles of hiking trails and includes access to nearby forests and state parks. Baby boomers who have had their fill of golfing can retreat to nature at The Reserve at Lake Keowee any time they see fit.
