Greenville South Carolina is hailed by AARP’s October/November 2013 issue of The Magazine as a Top 5 City to Retire in the U.S. Greenville absolutely deserves this honor; this Upstate city is an all-around exceptional place to live. It went through a well-planned, well-executed downtown restoration and was introduced by AARP as “Big City Meets Southern Ease.” The idea of a big city implies cultural opportunities, a great restaurant scene, and great architecture on the positive side, all of which Greenville boasts.
