High Country Living in Blue Ridge Mountain Club
Country roads, take me home… to the Blue Ridge Mountain Club, nestled among the peaks and valleys of the stunning mountain range that shares its name.
BRMC creates a perfect triangle between Blowing Rock and Boone. Because of BRMC’s proximity to the winding Blue Ridge Parkway, you’re ideally located to visit either—or both— cities when the mood strikes. BRMC’s lofty locale also keeps you high above the hustle and bustle of suburban life, sequestered in the pristine beauty of the mountain landscape. The only time you have to go back to the urban sprawl is when you want to.
What sets the Blue Ridge Mountain Club - or BRMC for short - apart from all the rest?
The Culture
It’s the sense of community that greets you from the first moment you enter the club’s gates. This tight-knit gathering of folks was brought together from all over by their shared love of the mountains. Now, these Blue Ridge Mountaineers do more than just live in the clouds; they’re in the business of giving back.
It seems that the BRMC community residents are avid supporters of the High Country and want to share the love through volunteering and supporting local businesses. Residents will tell you that BRMC possesses the spirit of camaraderie, and nowhere is that clearer than in BMRC’s sense of neighborly kindness and care for their community members.
As with all Reynolds-owned-and-operated clubs, BRMC hosts regularly scheduled outings via The Outbound Club—the source for all outdoor social activities, both inside and outside the BRMC community.
The Club
But life at the BRMC is about more than just admiring the great outdoors: the grand indoors holds plenty of appeal for club members. If it’s luxury living you’re after, BRMC boasts a beautifully-appointed indoor fitness club, along with fine wine and dining in the Club restaurants. There’s no better place to find upscale living paired with spectacular natural scenery.
When you become a member of the BRMC, you are joining the ranks of active living aficionados. So what kind of amenities are on offer?
With over 6,200 acres to enjoy and explore, BRMC is a low-density gated community that has become a prime destination for nature-loving retirees. Why? Here’s one of many compelling reasons: approximately 85% of the Blue Ridge Mountain Club real estate boasts astonishing views of sweeping, layered mountain scenery.
Today, over 1,000 acres of BRMC’s land have been lovingly preserved as conservation easements. All community members are encouraged to take advantage of the Club’s natural amenities. These include 18 miles of paved roads, over 10 miles of well-maintained hiking trails, and another 10+ miles of trails allowing ATV access to the property’s mountain streams.
BRMC contains many community parks, several of which include truly sensational trout fishing during the warm seasons. One of these parks, the Watson Gap Park, is home to BRMC’s community pavilion, replete with an outdoor BBQ area and the so-called ‘Great Lawn.’ Beyond the community’s manicured park areas, there is a whole other world of natural sights.
The rugged mountain terrain on one slope is complemented by a gentler, rolling topography on another. This natural diversity makes BMRC perfect for all levels of activity: whether you prefer strolling, swimming, fishing, hiking, or biking, BMRC has something you’ll love.
Up and Coming
Currently, BRMC is the site of 39 luxurious residences, with ten more already under construction. There are also plenty of new amenities inbound, including a Hunting and Sporting Club, Lawn Racquet Club, Clubhouse, Swimming Pool, General Store, Rockhouse Lodge, and the One Smoke Bar & Grill.
Although the community is small and tight-knit at the moment, an additional 200 homesite plots have already been sold, and more are available. This small and exclusive community is about to expand in a big way, so why not get in on the ground floor? There’s never been a better time to invest in Blue Ridge Club real estate.
