Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and along the west shore of 16,000-acre Tellico Lake, are charming waterfront retirement communities and lakefront homes. Tellico Village is the most popular master planned community and is not age restricted. You won't find high amenity fees or expensive golf club memberships here. You will find lakefront and golf course homes of all sizes and styles and affordable amenity fees. Tellico Village offers 'pay as you play' packages at the three private championship golf courses. A round of golf averages $41 including the cart. Named in Cherokee tradition, there are eight neighborhoods that make up Tellico Village: Chatuga, Chota, Coyatee, Kahite, Mialaquo, Tanasi, Tommotley and Toqua. Rolling hills, scented forests and winding streets ending in cul-de-sacs reflect the small-town charm and peaceful life in Tennessee.

"The day we moved in we were invited to Christmas parties in our neighborhood. The people have varied interests in sports, games, arts, crafts, books, whatever you might want. Lovely library, golf clubs, yachting, dining, health centers with indoor and outdoor activities. Everyone seems to be very active physically and socially."

"About everything you can imagine is offered here, the taxes are low and the cost of living is low also. Tellico Village is on three lakes, one can go around the world from the lakes. Three beautiful golf courses, walking trails, two wellness centers, friendly people, you get a lot of home for your money, TENNESSEE Valley location is the best four season location on the earth. Almost no crime, many community activities, clean air and water, excellent medical facilities, close to interstate highways and central to the eastern part of the USA. "

"You can find beautiful places to live, but you just cannot compare it to the quality of life in the Village. If you cannot find things to do here- just start your own club. It's easy to do with our own "closed" website that is for property owners only. It's a place where neighbors reach out and include you. a place where you not only know your neighbors, but everyone on your street. It's big trees, rolling hills, and a tranquil, clean lake where I laughingly said they must put prozac in the water. It's home, forever."
