Tellico Village Muddy Boots Hiking Club

2014 has members of the New Villagers social clubs of Tellico Village strapping on their hiking boots for some fun in the mud! The Tellico Village Muddy Boots Hiking Club has ten exciting upcoming events between now and early December. Starting on March 10th, the Tellico Village hiking club will embark on a five mile hike to explore the Enterprise Loop of Chattanooga, while the April 14th hike is an adventure through Turtletown Falls Trail in the Cherokee National Forest. A vast array of trails are incorporated into this year’s schedule offering a variety of scenery along beautiful lakes and streams within Eastern Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Traveling through the hiking trails on Tellico Lake is an invigorating experience. Shimmering waters are accented by unique flora and fauna, while the mountainous backdrop compels hikers to trek forward through the brush. The Tellico Village Muddy Boots Hiking Club offers each member an opportunity to lead the way with interchangeable captains during each monthly hike. Members meet bright and early at 8AM in the Chota Center parking lot before carpooling to the hiking destination. Each trail is rated easy, moderate, or challenging moderate based on elevation and trail conditions, allowing hikers to gauge their individual experience and choose their path accordingly. The day ends with the group returning to the Village and Tellico Lake neighborhoods between 2PM and 4PM.
